What happened

Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlords substantially interfered with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental unit or residential complex by the Tenant or by a member of the Tenant's household. The issues were related to waste disposal/garbage, smoking, and noise complaints from the basement tenant.

The ruling

The Landlord shall pay to the Tenant a rent abatement of $3,300 by February 25, 2022 for failing to adequately address the Tenant's justified complaints about the conduct of the basement tenant.
