What happened

The ruling

The tenancy was terminated effective March 3, 2020, the date the Tenant moved out of the rental unit. The Tenant is ordered to pay $8,208.63 to the Landlords, which includes rent arrears and compensation up to March 3, 2020, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant is also ordered to pay $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 22, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
