What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants were in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed but did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from April 1, 2021 to May 31, 2021. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on May 31, 2021.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay the Landlord $2,010.76 in rent arrears and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by October 12, 2021, they will start owing interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
