What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant claimed the rent was reduced from $825 to $635 per month, but could not provide evidence to support this. The Landlord testified the rent was $825 per month and the Tenant owed $3,680 in arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective August 15, 2020. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $9,937.64, plus $27.12 per day starting August 5, 2020 until the Tenant vacates. If the Tenant pays $11,280 by August 15, 2020, the eviction order will be void and the tenancy can continue.
