What happened

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 18, 2022. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $732.56, representing rent arrears up to November 30, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $29.30 per day for compensation for use of the unit from December 1, 2021 until the move-out date. If the full amount is not paid by January 18, 2022, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
