What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants were in possession of the rental unit on the date the application was filed but did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from September 1, 2020 to September 30, 2020. The Tenants moved out of the rental unit on October 3, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $740.95, which represents the amount of rent owing up to October 3, 2020, and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by April 26, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
