What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective August 20, 2021. Tenants did not attend the hearing and had not paid rent since February 1, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 16, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying $6,061.12 by that date. Tenants must pay $4,780.68 plus $23.12 per day starting January 6, 2022, for rent arrears and compensation. If not paid, Landlord may file for eviction enforcement from January 17, 2022.
