What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because the Tenant failed to meet a condition specified in the prior consent order issued by the Board on August 25, 2021. The Tenant denied the Landlord access to the rental unit to treat a rodent/vermin infestation, which was a breach of the consent order.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and the Tenant is terminated. The Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before November 12, 2021. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) to enforce the eviction. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application in three installments by September 1, October 1, and November 1, 2021. If the Tenant fails to make any of the payments, the full balance outstanding will become immediately due and owing, and the Tenant will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
