What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant was not present at the hearing.

The ruling

The Tribunal has decided to provide the Tenant an opportunity to meet the repayment terms agreed to with the Landlord. The Tenant is ordered to pay $2,096.00 for rent arrears and costs, with $1,752.50 due by March 25, 2023 and $343.50 due by April 25, 2023. The Tenant must also pay the April 2023 rent by April 25, 2023. If the Tenant fails to make any of these payments, the Landlord may apply to the LTB for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
