What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant owed $1,995.00 in rent arrears for the period from October 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, and an additional $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $2,181.00 in arrears and costs as follows: $363.50 on the 20th day of each month for a period of 6 months starting July 20, 2021 to December 20, 2021. The Tenant shall also pay monthly rent on time and in full from August 1, 2021 to December 1, 2021 until the balance of arrears is paid. If the Tenant fails to make any one of the payments, the outstanding balance shall become immediately due and owing, and the Landlord may apply to the Board for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant.
