What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to persistent late payment of rent. The Landlord also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective June 30, 2021. The Tenants can avoid eviction by paying $7,200 (arrears and June rent) by June 7, 2021. If not paid, the Landlord can file the order with the Sheriff for eviction on June 9, 2021. The Tenants must also pay $39.45 per day in compensation if they remain after June 30.
