What happened
Tenant applied for an order determining that Landlord failed to meet maintenance obligations under the Residential Tenancies Act, 2006 regarding a faulty storm door.
The ruling
The Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenant a rent abatement of $593.57 and $45 for the cost of filing the application, for a total of $638.57, by April 3, 2018. If the Landlord does not pay by the due date, the Tenant may deduct $200 from the rent each month until the amount is paid in full.
