What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to Tenant's failure to pay the 'air conditioning fee' in breach of the tenancy agreement, which substantially interfered with the Landlord's lawful rights. The Tenant had paid the outstanding fee by the hearing date, so the order was limited to the Landlord's application costs only and did not include eviction.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $159.75, which represents the balance owing for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by November 15, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
