What happened

The landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the tenants due to their failure to pay rent as required by a previous order issued by the Board.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective February 16, 2021. The tenants must pay the landlord $4,470.91, less any amount paid after the application was filed, representing rent arrears and application fees, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The tenants must also pay $40.54 per day for use of the unit starting February 6, 2021 until they move out. If the full amount is not paid by February 16, 2021, interest will accrue at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
