What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on May 31, 2020 but owed rent for the period from November 1, 2019 to May 31, 2020.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $3,500 in rent arrears and $175 for the application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by February 13, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance starting February 14, 2021.
