What happened
Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenant to pay the rent that the Tenant owes. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on February 28, 2022 but did not pay the total rent they were required to pay for the period from January 1, 2022 to February 28, 2022.
The ruling
The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,355.40, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by September 19, 2022, they will start owing interest at 3% annually on the outstanding balance.
