What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to persistent late payment of rent. The parties reached a settlement agreement during the hearing.
The ruling
The Tenant is to pay the lawful rent for April 2021 by April 14, 2021, the lawful rent in full and on time for the period May 1, 2021 through April 1, 2022, and $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant fails to make any of these payments, the Landlord may apply for an order terminating the tenancy and evicting the Tenant. If the Tenant does not pay the $175.00 by March 31, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated from April 1, 2021 at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
