What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $31,686 by November 30, 2022 or $33,786 by December 2, 2022 to void the order. If the Tenants do not pay, they must move out by December 2, 2022 and pay the Landlord $8,586, plus daily compensation of $69.04 until they vacate. If the unit is not vacated, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
