What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the tenants did not void by paying the arrears. The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenants pay $26,263.60 to void the order and continue the tenancy by January 28, 2023. If the Tenants do not pay this amount, the tenancy is terminated, and the Tenants must pay the Landlord $22,799.83, plus daily compensation of $61.55 per day starting January 6, 2023 until they vacate the unit.
