What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to non-payment of rent. Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective October 28, 2021. Tenants failed to pay the total rent required for the period from October 1, 2021 to February 28, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective March 15, 2022, unless Tenants void the order by paying $5,376.00 by that date. Tenants must pay $1,894.90 for rent arrears and compensation up to March 4, 2022, plus $56.88 per day from March 5, 2022 until they move out. Tenants must also pay $186.00 for the application filing fee. If full payment is not made by March 15, 2022, the Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting March 16, 2022.
