What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenant did not meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective April 7, 2023. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,984.88, which includes rent arrears up to March 27, 2023 and the cost of the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $49.01 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting March 28, 2023 until the Tenant moves out.
