What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit in order to demolish the unit.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must move out of the rental unit on or before July 8, 2022. If the unit is not vacated by that date, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlord compensation of $24.76 per day for the use of the unit starting June 28, 2022 until the date the Tenant moves out, and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application.
