What happened

Landlord applied for an order to require Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Tenants vacated the rental unit on June 30, 2022 and did not pay the full rent for the period from March 1, 2022 to June 30, 2022.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective June 30, 2022. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $3,313.08, which includes rent arrears up to June 30, 2022 and the cost of the application, minus the rent deposit. If the Tenants do not pay by November 12, 2022, they will owe interest at 4% annually on the outstanding balance.
