What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlord requires possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for his son and his son's wife.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated as of December 31, 2020. The Tenants must move out of the rental unit on or before December 31, 2020. The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $175.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the Landlord the full amount owing on or before September 28, 2020, they will start to owe simple interest calculated from September 29, 2020 at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding. If the unit is not vacated on or before December 31, 2020, then starting January 1, 2021, the Landlord may file this order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) so that the eviction may be enforced.
