What happened

The Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to their failure to meet the conditions specified in a previous order issued by the Board. The Tenants failed to pay $1,650 towards the outstanding arrears by September 17, 2021 and failed to pay the full lawful rent for October 2021 by October 1, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 15, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlord $12,281.86 plus $54.25 per day from November 1, 2021 until the unit is vacated. If the full amount is not paid by November 15, 2021, the Tenants will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
