What happened

The ruling

The Landlord is ordered to pay the Tenants $650 for the period of September 1, 2019 to October 2020 due to the unlawful rent increase, and to reduce the rent to $750 per month effective November 1, 2020. The Landlord must also pay the Tenants $50 for the cost of filing the application. If the Landlord does not pay the full amount owed by June 22, 2021, they will owe simple interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
