What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants because the Landlords require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for their child. The Landlords also claimed compensation for each day the Tenants remained in the unit after the termination date.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective September 30, 2021. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $3,576.27 for use of the unit from March 1 to July 21, 2021, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenants must also pay $32.88 per day from July 22, 2021 until the move-out date. If the unit is not vacated by September 30, 2021, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff for enforcement.
