What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite proper service of notice. The Landlords served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amounts. If not voided, the Tenant must vacate by March 5, 2023, and pay $10,668.88 plus $16.44 per day from February 3, 2023, until move-out. The Landlords may file for eviction enforcement starting March 6, 2023, if the unit is not vacated.
