What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after serving a valid Notice to End Tenancy Early for Non-payment of Rent (N4 Notice), which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant pays $19,986 to void the order and continue the tenancy, or $13,081.90 if the tenancy is terminated. The Tenant must also pay daily compensation of $59.18 for continued occupation after the hearing date. If the Tenant does not pay the required amount by October 29, 2022, the Landlord may file the order with the Sheriff to enforce the eviction.
