What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to allegations that the Tenants were arrested for possession of a restricted firearm, possession of fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking, and manufacturing handguns in the rental unit with a 3D printer.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective January 13, 2024. The Tenants must vacate the rental unit by this date. If they do not, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office (Sheriff) for enforcement. The Tenants owe the Landlord $3,041.10 in compensation for use of the unit from September 19, 2023 to November 7, 2023, and an additional $60.82 per day from November 8, 2023 until they vacate the unit. If the full amount is not paid by January 13, 2024, the Tenants will owe interest at 7% annually on the outstanding balance.
