What happened

Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing despite proper service of notice. The Landlords served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying the specified amounts. The Tenant must move out by February 5, 2023, if the order is not voided. The Tenant owes $6,796.59 to the Landlords, which includes rent arrears and application filing fee, minus the rent deposit and interest. Daily compensation of $23.28 is owed for each day of occupation starting January 19, 2023.
