What happened
Landlords applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent. The application was filed after the Tenants did not meet a condition specified in a previous order issued by the LTB.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective February 26, 2023. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $4,104.54, which includes rent arrears up to February 15, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenants must also pay $72.33 per day in compensation for use of the unit starting February 16, 2023 until they move out.
