What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The Tenant was in possession of the rental unit and owed rent for the period from April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective April 16, 2021 due to the rent arrears.

The ruling

The order is limited to the Landlord's application filing fee of $201, which the Tenant must pay by October 22, 2021. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by that date, they will start owing interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
