What happened

Landlord applied for an order to require the Tenant to pay rent arrears and compensation for damages caused by the Tenant. The Tenant vacated the rental unit on November 30, 2021 without providing proper 60-day notice.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $1,183.87 in rent arrears, $1,116 for damage repairs, and $201 for the application fee, for a total of $2,700.87. If the Tenant does not pay by August 10, 2021, they will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
