What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent. The N4 Notice was void because it included utility charges. The Tenant was in possession on the application date and owed rent from November 1, 2019 to February 29, 2020. The Tenant paid $4,875 after the application was filed.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $6,725.00 in rent arrears and $175.00 for the application fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 12, 2020, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 0% annually on the outstanding balance.
