What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants due to substantial interference with the Landlord's lawful rights and privileges, and serious impairment of the safety of other residents. The issues stemmed from the Tenants improperly installing electrical wires throughout the rental unit.
The ruling
The Landlord's application to evict is denied, provided the Tenants remove all the wires they installed by January 25, 2022 and do not install any such wires for a 3-year period. If the Tenants fail to comply with these conditions, the Landlord may apply for eviction. The Tenants must also pay the Landlord $186 for the cost of filing the application.
