What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous order issued on September 28, 2021.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective November 7, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $4,614.92, which includes the remaining rent arrears and application fee, less the rent deposit and interest owed on the deposit. The Tenant must also pay $47.67 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting October 1, 2021 until the Tenant vacates. If the full amount is not paid by November 7, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest at 2% annually on the outstanding balance.
