What happened
Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant because a person the Tenant permitted in the residential complex, Randy Soot, physically assaulted the building manager, seriously impairing the manager's safety.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated as of December 6, 2020, the date the Tenant vacated the rental unit. The Tenant shall pay the Landlords $1,172.79, which represents compensation for the use of the unit from September 13, 2020 to December 6, 2020, less the rent deposit and interest the Landlords owe on the rent deposit. The Tenant shall also pay the Landlords $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount owing by September 10, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
