What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and persistent late payment of rent. The application was resolved by order TSL-83929-17 issued on May 30, 2017. The Tenant requested a review of the order on the basis of whether she had been reasonably able to participate in the hearing.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated effective August 14, 2017 if the Tenants do not pay $4,272.30 in rent arrears by July 14, 2017. If the payment is made, the tenancy will continue. The Tenants must also pay daily compensation of $62.35 per day starting August 1, 2017 if the unit is not vacated by August 14, 2017.
