What happened
Landlord applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenant due to non-payment of rent and substantial interference with the reasonable enjoyment of the rental complex. The Tenant was not present at the hearing despite proper notice.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and the Tenant must vacate the rental unit by April 29, 2016. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $302.73 in rent arrears and compensation, plus $2.79 per day starting April 19, 2016 until the Tenant vacates. The Tenant must also pay the Landlord $170 for the application filing fee. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by April 29, 2016, the Landlord may file the order with the Court Enforcement Office for eviction.
