What happened

Landlord filed two applications: L1 for non-payment of rent and L2 for personal use and serious problems caused by Tenants. The L2 application was withdrawn at the hearing. The L1 application proceeded, with the Landlord seeking termination of tenancy and eviction due to unpaid rent.

The ruling

The Tenants are ordered to pay $11,143.89 to the Landlord, which includes rent arrears up to the move-out date and the cost of filing the application, minus the rent deposit and interest on the deposit.
