What happened

Landlords applied to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants because the Landlords in good faith require possession of the rental unit for the purpose of residential occupation for at least one year. The Landlords provided the required one month's rent compensation to the Tenants.

The ruling

The Landlords' application to terminate the tenancy and evict the Tenants is granted. The tenancy is terminated effective August 31, 2024 to provide the Tenants time to find alternative housing. The Tenants must pay the Landlords $52.74 per day for use of the unit after August 31, 2024 until they vacate. The Tenants must also cash the one month's rent compensation provided by the Landlords.
