What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to failure to pay rent as per the previous consent order. The Tenant failed to pay the monthly rent of $1,201.04 on or before October 1, 2021, which was a breach of the previous order.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated effective October 30, 2021. The Tenant must pay the Landlord $3,477.19, which includes rent arrears up to October 19, 2021 and the costs related to the previous application, less the rent deposit and interest. The Tenant must also pay $39.49 per day for compensation for use of the unit starting October 20, 2021 until the Tenant moves out. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 30, 2021, the Tenant will owe interest starting October 31, 2021.
