What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Tenant did not attend the hearing. The Landlord served a valid N4 Notice, which the Tenant did not void by paying the arrears. The Tenant was still in possession of the rental unit as of the hearing date.

The ruling

The tenancy is terminated unless the Tenant voids the order by paying $11,811.00 by August 14, 2022. If not voided, the Tenant must move out by August 14, 2022 and pay $8,273.29 plus $48.16 per day from July 19, 2022 until move-out. The Landlord may file for eviction enforcement starting August 15, 2022 if the unit is not vacated.
