What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant because the Tenant's employment as superintendent has ended. The Tenant did not vacate the rental unit within one week after their employment was terminated.

The ruling

The tenancy between the Landlord and Tenant terminated on October 13, 2021. The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $409.99 in compensation for the Tenant's continued occupation of the unit from October 14, 2021 to October 23, 2021, as well as $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. The total amount of $595.99 is due by March 31, 2022, after which interest will accrue.
