What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenants due to failure to pay rent and meet conditions specified in a previous LTB order. The Tenants failed to pay $750 towards outstanding arrears by September 20, 2022, and failed to pay October 2022 rent in full by October 1, 2022.
The ruling
The tenancy is terminated, and Tenants must vacate by January 27, 2023. Tenants are ordered to pay $6,091.16 to the Landlord, representing rent owing up to January 16, 2023, less the rent deposit and interest. Additionally, Tenants must pay $46.14 per day from January 17, 2023, until they vacate. If not paid by January 27, 2023, interest will accrue at 5% annually.
