What happened
Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The Landlord served a Notice of Termination effective September 29, 2021. The Tenant did not attend the hearing.
The ruling
The Landlord's application for eviction is denied on the condition that the Tenant follows a payment plan. The Tenant must pay $200 monthly towards arrears for 14 months, starting February 15, 2022, with a final payment of $286 on April 15, 2023. The Tenant must also pay regular rent from February 2022 to April 2023. If the Tenant fails to make payments, the Landlord can apply for eviction within 30 days of the breach.
