What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Landlord sold the property effective April 30, 2021 and the rent deposit was transferred to the new owner. The Tenants did not pay the total rent owed for the period from February 1, 2021 to April 30, 2021.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $1,850.00 in rent arrears and $186.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount by September 27, 2021, they will start to owe interest at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
