What happened

Landlord applied for an order requiring Tenants to pay the rent they owed. The Landlord had sold the building, and was only seeking an order for the amount owing up to October 31, 2021.

The ruling

The Tenants shall pay the Landlord $371.70, which represents the amount of rent owing up to October 31, 2021, and $201.00 for the cost of filing the application. If the Tenants do not pay the full amount owing by March 11, 2022, they will start to owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the balance outstanding.
