What happened

Landlord applied for an order to terminate the tenancy and evict Tenant due to non-payment of rent. The parties agreed at the hearing that the Tenant was not in arrears of rent as of the hearing date, and the Landlord withdrew its request for termination of the tenancy and only sought an order for the cost of filing the application.

The ruling

The Tenant shall pay the Landlord $186.00 for the cost of filing the application in two equal installments: $93.00 on or before September 1, 2021 and $93.00 on or before October 1, 2021. If the Tenant does not pay the full amount by October 1, 2021, the Tenant will start to owe simple interest calculated at 2.00% annually on the outstanding balance.
